Just for more practice in painting a container, I copied a blown glass vase from a museum brochure. Colors are approximate and the textures are nothing like the actual piece.
The assignment for this week was to sketch and paint a fruit or vegetable. I sketched my model on paper first, and most of my lines were too light to scan but I got this much into my computer to paint:
My first version, done mostly on one layer, looked like this:
I then attempted to correct the horizon, highlights, shadows, and to add more texture.
