While exploring the features in Painter
IX, I discovered the cloning brushes and spent a few days recreating some favorite
graphics. However, that wasn't the exact assignment for this week so I went
back to the drawing board and actually did some sketching of my own with the
pencil brush and some other brushes. I started on a light blue canvas with the
vases and flowers. Everything else got its own layer as we went. The drapes
were added with a watercolor brush, and I painted the wall eggshell with a ???
(note to myself: start keeping notes.)
I cloned and resized the flower fairy from another image, and moved her into this one. Because I found it so difficult to draw a straight line all by myself, I added the window frame from my PSP program. That gave me a good reason to practice with the eraser tool, too.
